Services
Six services that run together: introduction, networking, fundraising support, matching, marketing assistance and facilitation.
SeRuM provides capital introduction, investor networking, fundraising support, investor matching, fund marketing assistance and investor facilitation. They are sold as an engagement rather than a menu, because positioning shapes targeting, targeting shapes the introduction, and feedback from one meeting changes the next.
Ready to talk about your raise? We'll tell you quickly whether we can help.
Get in touchCapital introduction
We identify investors whose stated mandate, ticket size, geography and asset-class preference align with what you are raising, and make a warm, contextualised introduction. Introductions go to named individuals with allocation authority or genuine influence over it — not to generic inboxes or scraped contact lists.
Context is what converts a cold contact into a scheduled meeting: who you are, what you are raising, and why we think it fits that investor's specific mandate. An introduction without that framing is just a forwarded email.
Investor networking
Fundraising is rarely a single transaction. We build durable relationships between managers and allocators over time, including with investors who are not deploying today but are likely to be relevant in your next vintage or your next raise.
This is the part managers most often skip and most often regret. An allocator meeting you eighteen months before you are in market has time to develop conviction. An allocator meeting you three weeks before your final close does not.
Fundraising support
Before introductions begin we work through positioning: what you are actually selling, to whom, and why they should care now. That includes reviewing the story your materials tell, identifying the objections a sophisticated allocator will raise, and making sure you have answers before you are asked in a live meeting.
The hard questions are predictable — key person risk, capacity constraints, drawdowns, gaps in track record, why prior investors did or did not re-up. Being visibly unprepared for a predictable question costs more than the answer itself ever would.
Investor matching
Precision beats volume. A single introduction to an allocator with a live mandate in your sector is worth more than fifty introductions to investors with no fit. We screen for mandate alignment before we make a call, which protects both sides of the introduction and preserves the credibility of our network.
We match on asset class, strategy preference, ticket size, geography, stage, structural preferences, current deployment activity, and existing exposure that might make your position redundant. Databases can tell you an investor's asset class. They rarely tell you whether that investor has a live mandate and an available ticket right now.
Fund marketing assistance
We advise on the collateral allocators expect to see — pitch decks, tear sheets, DDQ responses, track record presentation and data room organisation.
Introductions fail more often on weak materials than on weak strategy. A first meeting spent explaining a confusing slide is a first meeting you do not get back, and a data room that takes three weeks to answer a standard request reads as an operational warning sign regardless of how good the returns are.
Investor facilitation
We stay engaged through the process: scheduling, follow-up, keeping momentum through diligence, and giving you honest feedback on where a conversation actually stands.
Allocators are polite in meetings and honest afterwards. We tell you which one you heard. A soft "we'll keep you on our radar" and genuine interest look identical from the manager's side of the table, and mistaking one for the other wastes months.
What we don't do
- We don't solicit investments. We introduce parties. We do not pitch an offering on your behalf or encourage anyone to subscribe.
- We don't negotiate terms. Fees, structure, side letters and allocation size are between you and the investor.
- We don't provide investment advice. We are not an investment adviser and make no recommendations about suitability.
- We don't sell access to a list. Our investor relationships are not a product to be licensed.
- We don't promise outcomes. No introducer controls whether an allocator commits.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use one service on its own?
Usually, though the services reinforce each other. Positioning work with no introductions has limited value, and introductions made before materials are ready burn relationship capital. We will tell you which parts you actually need rather than selling you all six.
Do you write our pitch deck for us?
We advise on structure, narrative and the objections a sophisticated allocator will raise, and review drafts against what your target segment expects to see. Production and final content remain yours — the deck has to sound like you in the meeting.
Do you guarantee a number of introductions?
No. Committing to a volume of introductions would mean making introductions that do not fit, which damages the investor relationships the whole service depends on. We agree a target list with you and work it properly.
Will you introduce us to investors we already know?
No. We agree the target list with you before any outreach, and existing relationships come off it. There is no value in us reintroducing you to someone already in your CRM.

Tell us what you're raising.
Entity type, target size, timeline. That's enough for us to tell you quickly whether we can help — and to say so plainly if we can't.
